In my last post, I alluded to the fact that while at Galveston Island we were busy preparing for an overseas trip. By the time you read this Steve and I will be in the Philippines. For the next two weeks we’ll be in my hometown of Moalboal on Cebu visiting my 96-year-old mom and the rest of the family. Then during the third week we’ll be hanging out for some R&R on the island of Palawan (one of over 7,100 islands that make up the Philippines).
Betsy is safely stored in a covered bay near Houston, and will be patiently waiting for our return in time for Christmas. But she won’t be lonely, for she has company – Erin and Mui’s Tiffin Phaeton is at the same facility!
In the meantime let me leave you with more bird photos I took from our “back yard” at site #58 at Galveston Island State Park.

And with this sunset we wish you all a very Happy Thanksgiving, and we’ll hook up with you again after December 15th!
