We had a blast! – Oregon Dunes, Florence OR

It was already overcast when we arrived in Florence in the afternoon. Florence is the northern gateway to the Oregon Dunes National Reserve area with 47 miles of coastal dune and a favorite spot for off-road -vehicle rides. Knowing rain forecasted to arrive the following day (surprise this is Oregon!) we immediately signed up for a 10-mile dune buggy ride at Sandland Adventures.  Wow! We rode on a Sand Rail with over 20″ of suspension travel and plenty of horsepower on the towering dunes.  Our driver showed us a great time traveling across miles of dunes at great speed. It was exhilarating, exciting, and impressive. We had a blast!

This youtube video SandRail Tour and pictures below show you how much fun we had and how spectacular the dunes are.
