Are we lonely here? No!

Noise level and overall “feel” of the park?
This place was quiet, even on the weekends.  The area that we
stayed in had only about 20 sites, so even with the Boy Scout
troop next door it wasn’t bad.  The park is located well off the
main road, so no noise from there either.  Except for the really
bad weather we endured during our 10 days here, it was a great
place.

Road and site access/type?
Paved interior roads in good condition, and paved sites.

Spaciousness/levelness of sites?
The sites were fairly spacious, and situated in a circular area with
about 20 sites available.  Also level enough that we didn’t need our
jacks.  We were able to get the car parked in front of the rig and off
the road, too.

Utilities and WiFi/cell reception?
The 50-amp electric service was strong, and the water pressure was
good.  No sewer at the sites, but the dump station was easy to get in
and out of.

Picnic table and/or fire pit?
Picnic tables only, the fire pits were the “community” type in the
middle of the area.  The firewood was $3.00 for 2 pieces – very
expensive.

Facilities – bathrooms/showers/laundry room?
The bathrooms were modern and very nice.  Showers had benches
and hooks for the toiletries.  No laundry facilities, but there was one
about 5 miles east of the park.

Pet and/or kid friendly?
Fairly pet friendly, not much for kids to do unless you can take them
to the beach or other places.

Bike/walking trails nearby?
There were trails right out of the park, but due to the terrible weather
we encountered while here we weren’t able to check out any of them.

Grocery stores and other services nearby?
Walmart was about 11 miles east of the park, and there was a very nice
Kroger in the same area.  Other services were about the same distance
away.  There were many good restaurants here, and the harbor area
had several excellent ones.  Even though we had very bad weather
during our entire stay, there was no chance of going hungry!

Comments:
Reserve early to stay here, it is a popular place.  Once you get a
reservation you are able to pick the site you want when you arrive.
The main office is on the south side of the highway, and it’s a bit
confusing if you come in to get a “bayside site”.  The ocean sites are
right down the road from the office, but we ended up parking our rig
and going back to the office on the other side of the highway to pay
for our bayside site.  Not very intuitive, and if you have a large rig it
might not be easy to go down to the office to pay before getting a
bayside site.  But we really did like the park and used their showers
several times.  We just wished the weather had been better!
