Noise level and overall “feel” of the park?
Noise from the main road in front of the park – TERRIBLE!  Folks
who want a quiet place to stay can forget about this one.  We didn’t
find any others in the area that looked much better.  But besides
the road noise the park itself was quiet (it contained only 15 sites).

Road and site access/type?
All gravel.  A bit tight getting in, but large rigs will fit and we were
actually put inside of a gate to the main road which could be opened
when we left.

Spaciousness/levelness of sites?
Spacing was tight.  Our site was close enough to level that we didn’t
need our jacks.

Utilities and WiFi/cell reception?

The 50A power and water were strong, these were full hookup sites.
The Verizon signal to our phones and hotspot was good as well.  The
park offered WiFi, and we were told it was strong but did not try it.

Picnic table and/or fire pit?
A sturdy plastic picnic table only.

Facilities – bathrooms/showers/laundry room?
Two individual full bathrooms contained showers and were clean.
A single washer and dryer were available to guests, on an honor-pay
system.

Pet and/or kid friendly?
Really not, a very small park with no place to walk dogs or for the
kids to play.  This was really a stopover spot for folks wanting to
visit the town.

Bike/walking trails nearby?
There was a gate out of the campground that allowed folks access
to a couple of dirt roads to walk on.  We went once during sunset.
Nothing special, but better than none at all.

Grocery stores and other services nearby?
The Albertson’s was about 4 miles away, on the main street at the
south end of Roswell.  Other services were available in town, but
this is a fairly small community.

Comments:
We were not particularly impressed with the town.  The UFO museum
was cute, and we spent some time at the nearby Bitter Refuge Center
walking and taking pictures.  I guess we expected more.  We certainly
can’t see spending more than a couple of nights here to do everything
that most folks would want to do.  I would like to rate this quaint park
and it’s nice owners higher, but the incessant road noise was pretty
much a deal-breaker for us and other folks we talked to.
