Newberry, Michigan

Clementz’s Northcountry Campground

The Lowe’s overall rating = 8 out of 10 stars

August 2014

I think the previous reviewer of this park might be unhappy in a lot of places. We stayed for a week in our 40′ RV and liked it a lot. Very quiet, even in August, and our utilities worked fine – no problems with water pressure. We had no sewer hookup, but there was a dump station in the middle of the park. Roads were gravel, and sites were grass. Our pull-through site (#40) was fairly level. Site utilities were “back-to-back”, so when we had a neighbor he was very close to us on the driver’s side. We didn’t like that, but the “front yard” area was very spacious and we enjoyed the fire pit on a couple of occasions. The Verizon signal to our phones and amplified Hotspot was OK, and we had no problems. Bathrooms were clean, and the showers had benches and hooks. The laundry room consisted of 2 washers and 2 dryers, but the folding table was tiny. There was a nice walking path adjacent to the park, and the mosquitoes welcomed us! The town of Newberry was 8 miles away, Tahquamenon Falls less than 20, and the drive to Pictured Rocks was about 65 miles. We liked this park and would come back again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Don't be shy, drop us a line.
