The Lowe’s overall rating (based on value for the
money, quality of amenities and utilities, site suitability
and what we think other RV’ers in our situation would
be looking for) = 7 out of 10 stars

 

Noise level and overall “feel” of the park?
Note:  This review covers the resort area of the RV park, NOT
the campground section which is directly attached.

Since Moab is an adventurer’s paradise, it was busy within the
park many mornings and afternoons when folks roared around
on their toys.  But in fairness all RV parks in the area would be
like this.  Noise from exterior roads was non-existent, since the
park is quite a ways off the highway.  The staff seemed friendly,
and the “feel” of the park is definitely “resort”, with a nice pool
and hot tub facility included.

Road and site access/type?
Paved interior roads and concrete sites.  Easy access to
pull-through and back-in sites.

Sites spacious and/or level?  Comments?
The sites in the resort section were spacious.  Most sites are
owned by individuals and some had modifications to them, such
as covered picnic tables.  They were very roomy, with space for
at least two vehicles in addition to a large RV of any type.  They
were also close to level level, with some having slopes to leave
the site.  Even those had enough length to easily level any RV.
The small trees did not provide usable shade, which would be
nice to have during the hotter months.

Utilities and WiFi/cell reception?
The full hookup 50-amp power was strong, as was the water
pressure.  The Verizon signal to our phones and boosted
hotspot was excellent.  The park’s WiFi was about the fastest
we’ve seen, and we used it extensively during our stay.

Picnic table and/or fire pit?
Good tables only, no fire pits.

Bathrooms/showers/laundry room?
The laundry room was a joke.  Tiny and containing only 3
washers and 3 dryers.  This needs to be upgraded!  On the
other hand, the bathrooms at the pool area in the resort
section were fabulous.  Gorgeous, modern and clean with
tiled showers that had benches and lots of hooks for toiletries.
This was one of the best we’ve seen!

Pet friendly?
There was a nice exercise yard for doggies that many folks
seemed to enjoy taking their furry friends to daily.  Otherwise
not too dog-friendly, since the park was paved.  Dogs had to be
on-leash within the park, of course.

Bicycle/walking trails nearby?
There was nothing directly attached to the RV park, but as you
might imagine there were limitless hiking and biking
opportunities within a few miles.

Groceries & other services nearby?
We liked the town of Moab.  Small, but offering everything we
needed and nice enough that we could live in this area.  The
City Market store was very well-stocked, and there were other
smaller grocery and specialty stores in town.  Also several very
good restaurants throughout the downtown area.  Really
nothing here for major RV repairs, but Grand Junction was
less than 2 hours away.

Comments:
This park was very expensive, and I downgraded it on “value
for the money”.  For $10 less per day it would have been a
decent value, but we felt like the owner was taking everything
the customer would bear.  It did have all of the amenities to
make it a nice stay after being in more remote campgrounds.
Excellent utilities, and a nice staff made it pleasant to stay here.
Although there were cheaper campgrounds in the area, this was
the high-end option and we selected it as a good place to hang
out with fellow bloggers and friends.
