The Lowe’s overall rating = 9 out of 10 stars

Noise level and overall “feel” of the park?
This park is located near at busy area of East Grand Forks,
Minnesota, which is both good and bad. The north end of
the park near Highway-2, so there is some exterior noise
from there. If you are able to get a spot toward the south
end, then that noise will be reduced considerably. We liked
the fact that we were close to restaurants and other
businesses. We just loved this park and can hardly think of
anything to fault it for!
Road and site access/type?
All roads were paved, and the sites gravel. Access for big
rigs was easy.
Spaciousness/levelness of sites?
Most sites were pull-throughs with full hookups and plenty
of room for a big rig and a car – with room to spare. These
were interspersed with back-in sites for tents, and they had
no utilities. Spacing between sites was good, and most that
we saw were fairly level.
Utilities and WiFi/cell reception?
The full hookup 50-amp power was strong, as was the
water pressure. The Verizon signal to our cell phones and
boosted hotspot was decent.
Picnic table and/or fire pit?
Both, and they were sturdy. The office sold bundles of
firewood for a reasonable price.
Bathrooms/showers/laundry room?
This place excelled here. The bathrooms were in a
separate building from the shower rooms, and both were
modern and very clean. I would have no problem
showering here. No laundry room, but there were a
couple within two miles of the park.
Pet and/or kid friendly?
There was a playground for the kids, and quite a bit of
open grassy area for either kids or dogs. Of course, the
policy was to keep dogs on leash. There were also several
miles of trails right out of the park where dogs could be
walked.
Bicycle/walking trails nearby?
Another plus – there were many miles of paved trails
accessible directly from the park, for bikers and walkers.
We took advantage of them several times, and we also
walked across the bridge into North Dakota to visit other
businesses. Excellent!
Grocery stores and other services nearby?
Restaurants were within walking distance – the Blue
Moose for example was excellent and had a nice view of
the river. It was perhaps 3 miles to good grocery stores,
and other businesses were similarly a short distance
away by car.
Comments:
We loved this park, and found it hard not to give it a
perfect “10”. Maybe the fact that it was in the city and
there was some noise made the difference. But that is
being picky, and I can tell you that we would be happy to
come back here and spend more time if ever in the area
again.
