Emigrant Lake RV ParkOther reviewers at rvparkreviews.com

October, 2016

The Lowe’s overall rating (based on value for the money,
quality of amenities and utilities, site suitability and what
we believe other RV’ers in our situation would be looking
for) = 8 out of 10 stars

Noise level and overall “feel” of the campground?
This place had a nice spread-out feel to it, with views of the very low lake
and nice surrounding mountains.  It’s a quiet park (at least this time of the
year) well off any main roads.  The camp hosts were very helpful and
friendly.

Road and site access?
All paved interior roads and sites, with easy access into the back-in and pull
through sites.

Condition of sites?
Our site (#19) was close to level, but not all others were.  We saw several
RV’s jacked up quite a ways.  Spacing between sites was generous, and they
were long enough to park vehicles in front of the RV’s without impinging on
the roadway.  There were some trees interspersed around the campground,
but not enough to provide much shade or block satellite reception.

Utilities offered and their quality?
The full hookup 50-amp power was strong, as was the water pressure.  No
cable or WiFi offered.  The utility posts were well located in the site for easy
hookup.  The Verizon signal was excellent and we enjoyed screaming-fast
internet through our hotspot.

Picnic table and/or fire pit?
Both.  The table was huge and made of concrete, the fire pit was a nice metal
affair.

Bathrooms/showers/laundry room?
Bathrooms and separate shower rooms were fairly modern and clean.  The
shower hooks and benches were not conveniently located, but water
pressure and temperature were good and I enjoyed a shower there.  No
laundry facilities.

Pet friendly?
Due to the size of this park, there were lots of areas to walk doggy, but
on-leash in the campground area.  Other large areas throughout the park
offered good places for their exercise.

Bicycle/walking trails nearby?
We were advised that there were trails within the park, but due to bad
weather and the fact that we had to leave unexpectedly we had no chance
to check them out.  However, the large size of the park offers plenty of
roads for a good walk or ride.

Groceries & other services nearby?
Ashland has many wonderful restaurants, shopping opportunities  and
several grocery stores.  It’s not really the kind of place for large RV
repairs, though.  That would probably have to be done in Medford, which
is a much larger city about 15 miles north.

Comments:
We loved Ashland, and were fortunate to have friends that were long-time
residents to show us around.  The atmosphere was just what we’re looking
for, and we will come back to investigate further.  The campground was
very nice, and we would try to get in here again when we return.
